Hygiena’s Mark Carter Named President of the IAFP

Hygiena announces that Mark Carter, our senior global software product manager, assumed the presidency of the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) at the conclusion of the IAFP 2024 Annual Meeting. This role highlights Mark’s extensive expertise in food safety and quality management, as well as his commitment to advancing public health on a global scale, reinforcing Hygiena's leadership in the industry.

Mark Carter brings a wealth of experience to both Hygiena and IAFP, as an industry expert. As the CEO of MC Squared Enterprises, Inc. (MC2), he has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of life science business, food safety and technology development. His consultancy has been instrumental in helping organizations worldwide enhance public health initiatives. Before joining Hygiena, Mark held several influential positions, including chief operating officer of Matrix Sciences and CEO of QCL. His background also includes pivotal roles at Kraft Foods and McKee Foods Corporation, where he focused on microbiology and food safety.    

CCM Strengthens Leadership Team to Drive Future Growth

Consolidated Chassis Management (CCM) expands its leadership team to strategically align with its future growth objectives. Effective immediately, John Furlong joins CCM as senior vice president and chief financial officer; Carl Francis has been promoted to vice president, SACP 3.0 and Nart Varoqua has been named vice president, Finance. This announcement was made by CCM CEO, Mike Wilson.

Motus announces the appointment of Amanda Bohne as its new CMO. In her role, Bohne will be responsible for defining and driving marketing strategy in order to further accelerate growth across Motus’ portfolio of solutions.

Bohne brings a wealth of knowledge to the role with nearly 15 years of technology and SaaS marketing experience, serving most recently as CMO at Harver, an HR tech company. Leveraging product marketing and demand generation expertise, Amanda is known for successfully building and leading high-velocity marketing teams that deliver strong return on investment. Her track record of success also includes leadership roles at AppNeta and other high-growth technology companies, where she played a key role in increasing collaboration within go-to-market teams and driving improved performance. 

Harbor Commission Approves Communications Director

The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners on Monday named Stephanie Montuya-Morisky, a former assistant director of communications for the Port of Long Beach, to lead the Port’s Communications and Community Relations Division as director. The Communications and Community Relations Division informs and educates the public, media and industry about the Port’s multibillion-dollar modernization program, its role as an economic engine in facilitating domestic and international trade as the nation’s second-busiest seaport, and its sustainability programs that are achieving documented environmental progress.
