DAT Appoints CEO and Other Role Transitions

DAT Freight & Analytics names Jeff Clementz as CEO. Clementz joined DAT in 2023 as CPO, a role he will oversee until a new CPO has been hired.

Clementz brings 25 years of experience managing networks, marketplaces, payments, and e-commerce platforms. He previously was president and CEO at Shift, an e-commerce platform for the auto industry, and Senior Vice President and General Manager of Walmart’s Marketplace, where he was responsible for building the retail giant’s foundational commerce platforms. He also held various product and operating leadership positions at PayPal, eBay, and Intel, both in the United States and Australia.

DAT also announces that CFO Tony Salazar has taken on expanded responsibilities as COO.

Salazar joined DAT in 2018 after serving as a general manager and senior director of Finance & Business Operations at Intel. He has more than 20 years of experience in the technology sector, including responsibility for strategic planning, revenue and pricing optimization, operations management, and financial planning and analysis.

CONRAIL Appoints Daniel Dwyer, Esq. as General Counsel 

Brian Gorton, president of Consolidated Rail Corporation (Conrail) announces the appointment of Daniel Dwyer, Esq. to serve as general counsel. Dwyer will oversee all legal matters within the company, bringing with him over 25 years of extensive legal experience, particularly within the railroad industry.

Dwyer joins Conrail after more than eight years with the Southeastern Pennysylvania Transportation Company (SEPTA), where he served as corporate counsel and special counsel for Commerce and Regulatory Law. Dwyer brings expertise in contract, real estate and litigation law.  Prior to his working at SEPTA, Dwyer spent 22 years in private practice, where he developed a strong foundation in various legal areas. 

Target Announces Updates to Leadership Team

Target Corporation names Christina Hennington, currently chief growth officer, as chief strategy and growth officer, and Rick Gomez, currently chief food, essentials and beauty officer, as chief commercial officer, overseeing Target's merchandising business, both effective July 7. Lisa Roath, Target's chief marketing officer, will take on the role of chief merchandising officer of food, essentials and beauty in early 2025. The company is initiating an external search for its next chief marketing officer and, until a successor is named, Roath will remain in full capacity as chief marketing officer.
